Fundamental : This test method measures the number of particles detached from a material. The sample is secured to both a fixed fixture and a movable fixture. Then, the rotated machine then twists and compresses the sample by rotating 180º at 60 revolutions per minute. During the twisting process, particles detach from the sample and are collected for counting, with particle sizes ranging from 0.3 µm to 25 µm.
